4 WAYS TO GET YOUR VIDEOS SEEN

Creating videos is a great way to build ongoing relationships with your network of prospects, clients, and referral partners. It’s also an effective medium for showcasing listings, publicizing successes, and providing prospects and clients with valuable information. But none of these good things will happen if your videos don’t get seen. Here’s how to get the most viewers.

Create engaging content. If you want more people to watch your videos, high-quality video content is absolutely essential. So, work to make your videos truly worth watching. Be creative. Think about showcasing different aspects of your business. Video an interview with a colleague at your company or someone in your community, such as an appraiser, a handyman, or a real estate attorney. Take viewers on a tour through an open house. Think about doing a series of inside looks at listings and feature one per week. Talk about the home buying process for first-time buyers. Give advice on what to fix up before listing a home. Do a video on staging for sellers and another on tips for buyers in today’s market.

Optimize your exposure on YouTube. There are things you can do to make it more likely people will see your videos on YouTube. The video’s title, description, and tags should contain as many keywords as possible. Keywords are the words or phrases people would use to search for the content that’s in your video. Get help with this on TubeBuddy. Your video’s thumbnail is also important to ranking well on YouTube. The thumbnail is the photo next to the video description, and one that’s especially eye-catching will boost your video’s exposure. Visit Canva for some free thumbnail templates. Post your video on social media so it can be readily found. When your YouTube channel is launched, share your latest videos across all your social media platforms. Social media likes video content, but to up your exposure on those sites, pay attention to two things. First, use the best hashtags for your content. For suggestions, go to All Hashtag. Second, upload your video directly to the social media post. This will dramatically boost social media views for your video. If you just post the YouTube link to your video, you are requiring the user to leave the social platform, which can be an organic traffic killer.

Post regularly and promote. Post videos on a regularly basis, weekly or biweekly if possible. Promote your YouTube channel on all your social media platforms. Invite viewers to subscribe, and then send them regular updates about your channel. These notifications will get your followers coming back, which will keep your brand top-of-mind.

Jim. Jim is a force of nature when it comes to helping his clients. My husband and I moved to Chicago from Denver in August of 2020, smack dab in the middle of the pandemic because my husband got into dental school at Midwestern University in Downers Grove rather unexpectedly. We owned a house back in Colorado that we didn’t have time to sell before leaving so we rented it out from a thousand miles away, and were also renting here in Chicagoland. There’s something that happens to you when you own a home where you feel like you can never go back to renting but we had to for awhile.

I quickly started to get fed up with all of what comes with owning a house and renting a house in Illinois so I did a quick google and found Jim Passi, called him up, explained the situation and he not only gave me sound advice on the market here in Chicago, sound advice on how to qualify for a loan, and some personal guidance on what I needed to do over the year to buy a house.

Without Jim’s follow up, patience with me, and advice our home purchase wouldn’t have been possible, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart.

If you’re looking for a “loan guy” Jim’s miles and miles more than that, he’s truly your “everything” guy. If not for Jim, we wouldn’t be first time Illinois home owners.

Thank you Jim!!
